Medilink Nottingham: 8 March 2007
The Medilink event will be held on the 8th of March 2007 at the Centre of Excellence in Customized Assembly (CECA), based at the University of Nottingham. The event will be showcasing a state-of-art facility in micro and nano manufacturing which will support UK manufacturers in Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceutical/Medical Device and niche Automotive supply chains to become global leaders in assembly techniques for customized, low-volume, high-value products. This event has been organized in conjunction with Medilink East Midlands and will feature presentations in innovative manufacturing and assembly technologies from EUPASS and 3D-Mintegration (Grand Challenge). http://www.medilinkem.com/web/MEDILINK/showevents.cfm?id=182
ICRA 2007: 10-14 April 2007, Italy
The 2007 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation will be held from the 10th to 14th of April in Roma, Italy. The theme of the conference is ubiquitous robotics. Technical sessions will be held from the 11th to 13th of April at the conference site, featuring the best 700-750 papers out of the 1800 submitted, 300 of which were accompanied by video clips. The keynote speakers will be: Alain Berthoz (Collège de France), Ken Goldberg (UC Berkeley), and Katsushi Ikeuchi (University of Tokyo). http://www.medilinkem.com/web/MEDILINK/showevents.cfm?id=182
EUSPEN 2007: 20-24 May 2007
The 7th International EUSPEN Conference will be held from the 20th to 24th of May 2007 in Bremen Congress Centre, Germany. The conference provides a mechanism for leading industrialists and researchers to cooperate, interact and build extended networks in these key technological areas. The focus of Euspen is on the development and exploitation of leading edge precision, micro and nanotechnologies including nano-precision manufacturing, design and build of ultra-precision machine systems. http://www.bremen2007.euspen.eu
ISAM 2007: 22-25 July 2007
The 2007 IEEE International Symposium on Assembly and Manufacturing (formerly IEEE International Symposium on Assembly and Task Planning) will be held from the 22nd to 25th of July 2007 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. The symposium aims at providing a forum for researchers and practitioners working on the diverse issues of assembly and manufacturing in various product sizes (nano to macro), production scales (workcell to global supply chain), and product life stages (product design to product retirement). A special session on micro-assembly, in collaboration with the MicroSapient CA Project, and a special session on Evolvable Assembly, organized by KTH, will both be held at the conference. http://me.engin.umich.edu/isam2007/

ANIPLA 2006: 13-15 November 2006, Italy
ANIPLA, the Italian National Association for Automation, will celebrate in 2006 the 50th anniversary of its foundation. Its annual Congress traditionally represents an effective opportunity for researchers, designers, practitioners and technology providers active in the industrial automation field to meet and share experiences. In particular the International Congress 2006 will focus not only on the numerous new ICT technologies for automation, but also on how the results of the technical developments should be mastered by the control engineer through the in-depth knowledge of the most suitable methodologies for analysis and design. All the issues related to the control and automation fields will be considered, in particular methods, applications, technologies and tools suitable to face new automation requirements. ROBIO 2006: 17-20 December 2006, China
2006 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO 2006) will be held in Kunming, China, December 17-20, 2006. A young and well-respected annual conference, the Kunming meeting will build on ROBIO's success the previous two years in Shenyang and Hong Kong, and offer an excellent forum for researchers in robotics and biomimetics from Asia as well as around the world to exchange their ideas and latest results. The host city Kunming, in Southwestern China, known as the City of Perpetual Spring, and Yunnan Province, home to 25 ethnic minorities, will provide ROBIO 2006 attendees a rich and unique cultural experience. A post-conference tour will be organized to Lijiang, a United Nations World Cultural Heritage Site and a traveler's oasis. Further details can be found at
